Directory submission is one of the key factor to make your serps better. But you should know that how to do quality directory submission.
1. Use your keywords as an Anchor text while doing directory submission.
2. Submit in related Category.
3. Submit your website in those directories which are related to your website.
4. Submit your website in HIGH PR/MR Directories.
5. Do not do more then 5 directories in starting of directory submission
6. Use unique description every time ( Description should be keywords enriched)
7. Do not use same Anchor text again and again else Google will penalize your website with that keyword
8. Use your main keywords as Anchor text in high pr directories and use long tail keywords in low pr directories.
9. Use one way free links directories.
